Paradesi - Bala's Tale Set In Pre-Independence Era


Bala, who has helmed hits like Sethu, Nandha, Pithamagan, Naan Kadavul and Avan Ivan, brings to film patrons his new film titled Paradesi. The film promises an unusual script in keeping with his usual style.

Paradesi is based on certain real life experiences that occurred in the 1930s pre-independence India. Atharvaa Murali plays the protagonist, while Vedhika C Kumar and Dhansika are the leading ladies in the film.

Music is by GV Prakash, cinematography by Chezhiyan, dialogues are by Nanjil Nadan and editing by Kishore. Paradesi has been shot back-to-back in Salur and Manamadurai in Sivagangai district, in parts of Kerala- Munnar and Talaiyar and the forest areas of Kannakarai in Theni district.

The film is slated for a release in Tamil and Telugu in October.
